Kind of hard to believe it, right?
But it is the fact, that all animals are “evolved” from sea sponges. It is the earliest multicellular animal in this world, consisting of simple cells like choanocytes and more. And these cells shaped us, today.
It is an animal, not a plant, as it feeds on plankton from the water current. It acts like filters filtering the water from planktons. So, it does not moves much, only a little from it’s “mouth”.
But that’s not my ultimate point in this post.
My point is: although we seems like we are at the top at the evolution ladder, we must not forget how we became today. Moreover, we cannot forget that we are sharing this world with other organisms.
P.S. By the way, what am I talking about??
